We developed a line-of-business application to manage the workflow of the Energy Information Centre who provide energy procurement advice to large energy users such as the BBC.
- Windows application to allow data analysts to enter, manipulate and report on energy information
- Calculation engine running the many complex rules associated with energy distribution costs in the gas and electricity markets
- Web-based document delivery portal written in ASP.Net and Business Objects' Crystal Reports Server
- Risk Management module which tracks the energy markets based on a real-time feed and allows logged-in users to review various different procurement statistics and scenarios
- All of the above is delivered from a Windows-based hosting environment running Microsoft's Internet Information Server and SQL Server 2005
