Tough Mudder UK Series
Globally renowned obstacle mud-run specialists, Tough Mudder have been delivering the two-day events across various private estates throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland since 2012. CTM have now helped consult, plan and deliver more than 50 live events for U.S. based organisation since its arrival to our countryside.
In the initial stages of the event, CTM assist with licensing approval stages by providing the traffic management plan for the proposed event to local councils and emergency services.
CTM provide a variety of key traffic solutions as part of our management operation including on venue directional and parking services for participant traffic along with additional parking facilities for spectators, disabled, production and drop-off and pick-up requirements.
Due to the nature of the event and subsequently the distance of the course, routes often require the participants to cross active roads. CTM also operqate a stop/go operation with the use of our Chapter 8 Road Safety certified traffic marshals or CSAS operatives to allow the participants to cross safely and with little impact on local traffic.
With up to 18,000 participants and spectators arriving from 5am and departing from 11am, the communication and internal & external traffic management our system must be seamless to deliver an effective operation.
Contracting CTM to provide traffic management and stewarding services for the Lady Godiva Half Marathon has improved the event enormously, enhancing its safety, reputation and the slickness of the operation.
