CTM was appointed as Traffic Management contractor for the inaugural Rewind Festival in Henley on Thames in 2009 and is proud to have provided its services to the organisers every year since. The festival has grown over 4 years to its current level of 30,000 vistors over the event weekend.
Working closely with the organisers, signage contractor and local council, we plan and operate two separate parking areas for day visitors and campers. An intricate, reversible one way system is set up on the local roads to provide access and egress for visitors, whilst keeping disruption to local residents to a minimum. In addition to providing staff to manage the parking operation over the three day festival, we provide event signage, temporary traffic lights and no waiting cones via our partner suppliers.
Our traffic management and parking teams are on site throughout, ensuring visitors to the event have easy, hassle-free access to the relevant parking areas. We also work closely with local taxi firms and with a riverboat taxi company to ensure that all visitors are catered for equally well.
Regular pre-event meetings and a close working relationship with the event organisers ensure that alterations and improvements are continually implemented to keep the traffic management systems in line with the challenges of a growing event.
